This year, Smackdab riders faced an intense pre-dawn thunderstorm as they prepared to depart the monument in Lebanon on June 20th. Fortunately, the storm front moved out of the area quickly and eighty-nine riders (84 bikes and 5 co-riders) riders reported fair skies, light winds, and comfortable temperatures in the 70s throughout the rest of ride.

Along the way, three motorcycles had mechanical issues including a bad tire, ignition failure, and an engine warning light likely due to moisture intrusion. Several riders chose to stay with these stranded riders rather than complete the run, which resulted in seven DNFs, leaving a total of 82 official finishers.
